About us

Our mission

The Society for Responsible Energy Use believes that every household has the power to reduce its energy consumption and thereby contribute to a more sustainable world. Our mission is to educate the public about energy efficiency, renewable energy sources and smart investments in home renovation — without commercial interests and without hidden costs.

We operate independently, with a single goal: to help Slovenian households make informed decisions that reduce both energy costs and carbon footprint in the long term.

What we do

Public education — We prepare content that explains complex topics in an accessible way, from how heat pumps work to the process of obtaining subsidies for energy renovation. Our advice is based on current technical standards and verified data.

Free tools — We develop free online calculators that help households estimate the expected energy savings from different renovation measures. All tools are freely accessible and require no registration.

We fund our operations through donations and grants. We do not accept advertising and do not trade in the personal data of our visitors.
